Restaurant Line Cook

Crowne Plaza Albany – The Desmond Hotel is a well-established hotel ranked among the top five Crowne Plaza hotels in the country. We are seeking a Part-Time Restaurant Line Cook to join our talented culinary team. This union position offers $21.81 per hour upon hire, increasing to $22.81 after 90 days of employment, along with an outstanding benefits package, including:

The Restaurant Line Cook prepares hot and cold food items efficiently while following proper food preparation and handling procedures. Responsibilities include carving, portioning, and garnishing grilled, broiled, and roasted items, as well as following recipes, banquet event orders (BEOs), and specification sheets to ensure freshness, quality, and consistency. Excellent attendance and dependability are essential.

Requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience
• At least six months of related experience
• Ability to wear the required uniform and meet hotel appearance standards
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform duties involving walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to read and write in English
