Restaurant Manager

Job Overview

J & J’s is seeking a reliable, experienced, and motivated Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations and lead our team. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the restaurant, holds employees accountable, provides excellent customer service, and helps maintain a productive and professional work environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day restaurant operations
• Supervise, train, schedule, and motivate employees
• Ensure employees follow company policies and procedures
• Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, and performance
• Handle cash drawers, deposits, and daily cash reconciliation
• Monitor inventory and help control food waste and food costs
• Ensure proper food preparation, quality, and portion control
• Maintain cleanliness and food-safety standards
• Address customer concerns professionally
• Help with hiring, training, coaching, and disciplinary actions
• Make sure shifts are properly staffed
• Complete opening and/or closing management duties
• Monitor employee phone use and workplace conduct
• Help prevent theft, unauthorized food consumption, and cash shortages
• Communicate operational issues directly with ownership
• Lead by example and step in to assist the team when needed

Experience

• Previous restaurant, fast-food, retail, or management experience preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Dependable and punctual
• Comfortable handling cash and managing employees
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Must be willing to hold employees accountable while treating everyone fairly and professionally
• Flexible availability, including some evenings and weekends
