About the role

Nongbu Market is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our restaurant in Badung, Bali. This is a full-time position that offers you the opportunity to manage a dynamic hospitality team and ensure exceptional dining experiences for our guests. As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service, managing staff performance, and driving profitability whilst maintaining our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. This role is pivotal to the success of our establishment and offers a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on our operations.

Key responsibilities

• Overseeing all front-of-house and back-of-house operations to ensure smooth daily service delivery
• Managing, training, and supervising restaurant staff including servers, hosts, and kitchen personnel to maintain high performance standards
• Developing and implementing operational procedures and policies that enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction
• Monitoring food quality, presentation, and service standards to ensure consistency with Nongbu Market's brand values
• Managing inventory, purchasing, and cost control to maximise profitability and minimise waste
• Handling customer relations and resolving any complaints or concerns with professionalism and discretion
• Scheduling staff and managing payroll in accordance with labour regulations and budgetary constraints
• Maintaining compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations and standards
• Implementing promotional initiatives and special events to drive revenue and enhance the guest experience
• Reporting on financial performance, guest feedback, and operational metrics to senior management

What we're looking for

• Proven experience of at least 3-5 years in the same position, with a strong background as part of a pre-opening team and direct involvement in restaurant setup.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, both with staff and guests
• Solid understanding of food and beverage operations, including cost management and inventory control
• Knowledge of food safety standards, health regulations, and sanitation protocols
• Proficiency in restaurant management systems and point-of-sale (POS) software
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work effectively under pressure
• Financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and analyse operational performance
• Fluency in English, with additional language skills being advantageous
• A passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
