Restaurant Manager

Parcels restaurant at the Distinction Dunedin Hotel has build a reputation as one of Dunedin's best dining experiences, with options of dining in our main restaurant or one of our impressive private spaces - which include our historical vaults.

Parcels is not your average hotel restaurant! It caters for both external and internal guests. Its very busy operation all year round and is open for breakfast, lunch, high tea, functions and dinner. We service a variety of clients ranging from conferences, tour groups, private dining and a la carte diners.

We are looking for a talented "hands-on" Restaurant Manager working/leading on the floor.

You will be determined and passionate about what you do and look to contribute to the team culture with your unique and vibrant personality. As the Restaurant Manager, you will be working closely with the F&B Manager, General Manager / Executive Chef to take Parcels Restaurant to the next level, implementing systems and procedures, developing selling strategies and training/developing your team.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualities;

• A strong leader who is looking for the opportunity to progress.
• Minimum two experience in a similar position.
• Hands-on management of day-to-day operations.
• Passion, innovation and drive to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

You will be responsible for the following:

• Running the Restaurant & Bar as a standalone business, maximising profitability whilst maintaining exceptional standards of quality and service.
• Optimizing the potential and performance of the team to consistently deliver the expected results and ensure an exceptional dining experience is delivered.
• Taking a keen interest in the current business situation and bringing sound ideas to increase profit, and maximise guest expenditure.
• Managing the day to day running of Conferences & Events.
