Restaurant Manager

About the role

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with strong hospitality experience, a passion for great service, and the ability to run a busy restaurant floor and team with confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day restaurant and bar operations, ensuring smooth service and high standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Recruiting, training, and supervising staff, managing rosters and shift schedules, and providing team leadership
• Delivering excellent customer service and handling customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally
• Managing cash handling, POS transactions, and end-of-day reconciliation, and controlling costs to support profitability
• Monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper storage and rotation
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, liquor licensing, and health & safety regulations, including responsible service of alcohol
• Assisting with promotions, events, and special menus to grow customer traffic
• Carrying out other reasonable duties as required by the employer

About you

• At least 3 years' relevant experience as a Restaurant or Café Manager, or a relevant Level 5 qualification or equivalent
• Proven experience leading and motivating a hospitality team
• Sound knowledge of food safety, liquor licensing, and health & safety requirements
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Current LCQ or ability and willingness to obtain one
