We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and professional Restaurant Manager to join our team at our Japanese restaurant in Newbury.

The successful candidate will play an important role in managing the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, leading the team and ensuring our guests receive an excellent dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operation of the restaurant
• Lead, motivate and support the front-of-house team
• Ensure consistently high standards of customer service
• Manage bookings, table arrangements and customer enquiries
• Monitor service, food quality and presentation
• Support staff training and development
• Manage opening and closing procedures
• Ensure excellent standards of cleanliness, health and safety
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering
• Deal professionally with customer feedback and resolve any issues
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
• Assist with staff rotas and general administration
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed

What We’re Looking For

• Previous restaurant or hospitality management experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Organised and able to work under pressure
• Positive, hands-on approach
• Reliable, professional and well presented
• Good understanding of restaurant operations
• Passion for food and hospitality
• Experience with Japanese cuisine is desirable but not essential
