Restaurant Manager

Akiba is one of Canberra’s most established and recognisable restaurants, located in the heart of the CBD. We’re a high-volume, fast-paced venue built around bold Asian-inspired food, cocktails, great service and an energetic atmosphere.

We’re looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager with the confidence, leadership and gravitas to take ownership of the venue and lead a large, high-performing front-of-house team.

With 190 seats, approximately 30 floor staff, this is a genuine leadership role for someone who commands respect, leads from the front and knows how to run a busy Venue and is all about personal guest experiences.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading and developing the FOH team
• Overseeing daily operations and service standards
• Rostering and labour management
• Training and team performance
• Stock, costs and KPIs
• Venue presentation and compliance
• Delivering a consistently excellent guest experience
• Working closely with the Head Chef and senior management

• Has proven experience managing a busy restaurant
• Has strong leadership and communication skills
• Understands labour, wages and operational costs
• Leads from the front and sets high standards
• Can remain calm and decisive under pressure
• Takes genuine pride in hospitality

• $90,000–$110,000 + superannuation
