Restaurant Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join PSL & Lina Rooftop in Brisbane. This is a full-time position based in Brisbane QLD 4000, where you will take a leadership role in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations. As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences, managing staff performance, and ensuring the restaurant meets financial targets and operational standards. This is a strategic position that directly impacts the success and reputation of our establishment.

What you'll be doing

• Overseeing daily restaurant operations, including service delivery, staff management, and customer experience
• Managing staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to ensure a high-performing team
• Monitoring financial performance, controlling costs, and working towards achieving revenue targets and budgets
• Maintaining food safety, health and hygiene standards, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
• Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and liaising with suppliers to ensure quality and cost efficiency
• Creating and implementing operational procedures and policies to enhance efficiency and consistency
• Handling customer relations and resolving complaints professionally to maintain positive guest satisfaction
• Planning and coordinating special events, promotions, and menu offerings
• Reporting to senior management on operational metrics, performance, and strategic opportunities
• Ensuring the restaurant environment maintains high standards of cleanliness, ambiance, and presentation

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in restaurant management or a similar hospitality supervisory role
• Proven track record of successfully managing P&L, controlling costs, and achieving revenue targets
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both staff and customers
• Knowledge of food safety, health and hygiene regulations, and hospitality best practices
• Experience in inventory management, ordering, and supplier relations
• Proficiency with restaurant management systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology
• Problem-solving ability and flexibility to adapt to changing operational demands
• Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional service
• Certification in hospitality management or food safety (such as RSA and food handler certification) is advantageous
