About Agnes

Set in a heritage building in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, Agnes is an experience built around the elemental art of wood-fired cooking—no gas, no electricity, just flame. Set across three thoughtfully designed levels, including a main dining room, wine bar and terrace, Agnes celebrates creativity, craftsmanship and seasonal produce. Our meticulously curated beverage program—featuring a deep, evolving wine cellar, thoughtful cocktails and rare spirits—complements the bold flavours of our open-fire menu.

The Role

Agnes is on the lookout for a refined and dedicated Restaurant Manager to join the leadership team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for leading front-of-house operations on the floor, maintaining high service standards and ensuring exceptional guest experiences across all service periods.

Working closely with senior venue leadership, the Restaurant Manager plays a key role in supporting team performance, operational efficiency and overall venue standards. With a strong presence on the floor, you will lead by example throughout service while contributing to staff development, compliance, stock oversight and the ongoing refinement of service operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily floor and beverage operations across service periods
• Lead and support front-of-house team performance during service
• Maintain smooth service flow and high operational standards
• Support recruitment, onboarding and training of team members
• Assist with rostering, labour management and service coordination
• Maintain venue presentation, cleanliness and ambience standards
• Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues professionally
• Support stock control, ordering and supplier management
• Ensure compliance with RSA, food safety and venue procedures
• Contribute to a positive, professional and high-performing team culture

Skills & Experience

• Previous leadership experience within a premium hospitality venue
• Strong food, beverage and wine knowledge
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and operational awareness
• Understanding of labour, stock and service performance
• Passion for hospitality and exceptional guest experiences
• The ability to stay composed and make sound decisions under pressure
• Commitment to supporting the team in a cohesive and uplifting workplace
• WSET Certification is highly regarded
• RSA & Food safety Certificate required

Pay: $79,999.00 – $85,000.00 per year
