We are seeking a polished, high‑caliber Restaurant Manager to help lead this dynamic, high‑volume operation with precision, warmth, and unwavering attention to detail.

Role Overview

The Restaurant Manager plays a critical leadership role across both levels of Double Knot, ensuring seamless service execution, elevated hospitality, and operational excellence. This position requires a strong floor presence, disciplined management style, and the ability to guide a diverse team through fast‑paced, high‑energy service periods while maintaining the elevated standards that define the brand.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Staff Development

• Recruit, train, and mentor FOH team members with a focus on professionalism, Japanese‑inspired hospitality, and brand standards.
• Build strategic schedules that support both the upstairs café/bar and the downstairs izakaya.
• Conduct performance evaluations, deliver coaching, and uphold accountability with clarity and consistency.
• Foster a collaborative, positive culture aligned with Schulson Collective’s values.

Guest Experience & Hospitality

• Champion a warm, polished, and anticipatory approach to service across both levels of the restaurant.
• Resolve guest concerns with urgency, grace, and a solutions‑oriented mindset.
• Monitor guest feedback and online reviews to ensure Double Knot’s reputation remains strong and consistent.

Operational Excellence

• Oversee daily operations with disciplined attention to detail, timing, and flow — especially during high‑volume sushi and izakaya service.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually cohesive environment throughout the café, bar, and dining room.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to support smooth operations.

Financial & Business Management

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost‑control initiatives to maximize profitability.
• Analyze financial reports and partner with leadership to drive performance improvements.
• Oversee cash handling, reconciliations, and daily financial accuracy.

Brand Presence, Marketing & Events

• Collaborate with leadership and marketing teams to support brand initiatives, seasonal menu rollouts, and promotional strategies.
• Assist in planning and executing events that highlight Double Knot’s sushi program, izakaya offerings, and unique atmosphere.
• Uphold the visual and experiential standards that define the concept.

Compliance & Regulatory Standards

• Maintain all required licenses, permits, and regulatory documentation.
• Stay informed on industry trends, compliance updates, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or equivalent experience.
• Proven success in an upscale, high‑volume restaurant leadership role.
• Strong leadership presence with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with modern restaurant management systems (POS, scheduling, reporting).
• Financial acumen and experience managing budgets, labor, and cost controls.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with composure and professionalism.

Working Conditions
