What they need
Black Market Miami Sports Bar
Job Overview
Black Market Miami is seeking an experienced, energetic, and hands-on Restaurant Manager to join our management team. We are a fast-paced, high-volume sports bar focused on great food, strong beverage sales, exceptional hospitality, and an exciting game-day atmosphere.
The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for leading daily operations, developing and motivating the team, maintaining high standards of service and presentation, controlling labor and operating costs, and ensuring every guest receives an excellent experience.
We are looking for a leader who is highly visible on the floor, comfortable working in a busy bar and restaurant environment, and capable of keeping the team organized and motivated during high-volume sporting events, weekends, and special events.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily front-of-house restaurant and bar operations while maintaining a strong management presence on the floor.
- Supervise, coach, train, and motivate servers, bartenders, barbacks, hosts, food runners, bussers, and support staff.
- Ensure exceptional guest service and quickly resolve customer concerns in a professional manner.
- Maintain Black Market Miami's standards for food quality, drink quality, cleanliness, service, and presentation.
- Conduct effective pre-shift meetings and communicate daily priorities, promotions, specials, sporting events, and sales goals.
- Drive sales by coaching the team on upselling food, cocktails, beer, premium spirits, and promotional items.
- Manage high-volume game days, special events, watch parties, and peak weekend shifts.
- Monitor staffing levels and schedules while controlling labor costs according to business needs.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, deposits, POS transactions, and daily sales reconciliation.
- Monitor inventory, product usage, waste, and proper handling of food and beverage products.
- Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to maintain speed of service and consistent product quality.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, responsible alcohol service, and company policies.
- Monitor employee performance, attendance, punctuality, uniforms, and overall professionalism.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and corrective action when necessary.
- Review sales, labor, operating expenses, and other key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Help create a positive, accountable workplace where employees understand expectations and work together as a team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a high-volume sports bar, casual dining restaurant, bar, or entertainment venue.
- Strong experience managing both food and beverage operations.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a large hospitality team.
- Strong understanding of restaurant labor management, inventory control, food cost, beverage cost, and profitability.
- Experience with restaurant POS systems; Toast POS
- Strong cash-handling and closing experience.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to quality, cleanliness, presentation, and guest experience.
- Must be comfortable working nights, weekends, holidays, major sporting events, and other peak business periods.
- Knowledge of sports-bar operations, cocktails, beer, spirits, and beverage service is highly preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
What We're Looking For
We want a manager who leads from the floor, not from the office.
The right candidate takes ownership of the operation, holds the team accountable, pays attention to the details, protects the guest experience, and understands that great presentation and great service directly impact sales.
If you're competitive, organized, hospitality-driven, and enjoy the energy of a busy sports bar, we'd like to hear from you.
Join the Black Market Miami team and help us continue building one of Miami's go-to destinations for sports, food, drinks, and great hospitality.
