About House of Food

House of Food is a premium fine-dine multi-cuisine restaurant in Varanasi serving Indian, Chinese, Italian, Tandoor and Continental cuisine. We are looking for an experienced, energetic and responsible Restaurant Manager to manage day-to-day operations and ensure excellent guest experience and smooth restaurant performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete day-to-day restaurant operations.
• Supervise and motivate front-of-house and service staff.
• Ensure excellent guest service and handle customer complaints professionally.
• Manage table allocation, reservations, service flow and peak-hour operations.
• Monitor restaurant opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, cleanliness and service.
• Coordinate effectively between kitchen and service teams.
• Prepare and manage staff duty rosters and shift schedules.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, grooming and staff discipline.
• Monitor daily sales, cash handling and restaurant expenses.
• Work with management to achieve sales and profitability targets.
• Control food wastage, pilferage and operational costs.
• Ensure proper implementation of SOPs.
• Monitor inventory requirements and coordinate with the purchase/store team.
• Handle online orders, delivery platforms and customer feedback when required.
• Monitor Google reviews and assist in maintaining the restaurant's online reputation.
• Conduct regular staff briefings and training.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and restaurant policies.

Candidate Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager or similar role.
• Experience in fine-dine, premium restaurant or multi-cuisine restaurant preferred.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant operations and service standards.
• Excellent team-management and leadership skills.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and peak business hours.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant billing/POS systems.
• Knowledge of inventory, food cost and wastage control will be an advantage.
• Smart, well-groomed and professional personality.
• Must be comfortable working in rotational shifts and weekends.
