RESTAURANT MANAGER WANTED

The Slamwich Club | Full Time

We're looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our club.

We're an independent restaurant specialising in Slams - big, stacked sandwiches made with fresh ingredients, alongside a creative drinks menu.

We've got two sites, Hanley and Leek, a great reputation, a loyal customer following and a strong team behind us. We're now looking for someone with the experience, personality and drive to lead our team.

The role

You'll be based mainly at our Hanley restaurant, taking responsibility for the day to day running of the restaurant and bar.

We also have a smaller site in Leek with an established team in place. You'll provide oversight and support, making sure standards and operations remain consistent across both locations.

We're after someone who's proactive, commercially aware and confident taking responsibility. Someone who's positive, approachable and calm under pressure, and can build on what we've already established while bringing fresh ideas to the role.

That includes:

• Leading, motivating, recruiting and developing the team, creating a positive working environment and getting the best out of people

• Running busy services and delivering a consistently great customer experience.

• Managing rotas, staffing levels and labour costs

• Overseeing bar operations, stock control and ordering.

• Knowing your numbers - sales, GP, margins, wage percentages and overall performance.

• Working closely with the kitchen team to keep service running smoothly.

• Maintaining high standards and making sure procedures are followed across both sites.

People are at the centre of what we do, from our team to our customers. We're looking for someone who understands that and knows how to make both feel valued.

You'll need solid restaurant management experience, ideally at least two years as a Restaurant Manager or General Manager. We'd also consider a highly experienced Assistant General Manager who's ready to take the next step.

Experience in both branded restaurants and independent hospitality would be a bonus, particularly within casual dining.

We know hospitality isn't exactly known for its sociable working hours, but we like to do things a little differently.

• 39 hours per week

• Sundays and Mondays off as standard

We do occasionally have external events that fall on our usual days off, so there may be the odd exception, but these are few and far between.

What's next for Slamwich?

We've already got two established sites, and now we've got the itch for something new.

We're looking at growing the business, and to do that, we need the right people running what we've already got. As Slamwich grows, there'll be opportunities to get involved in new projects and develop your role further.
