Restaurant Operations Assistant

Job Summary
Hickory Social House is seeking an organized, dependable, and service-oriented Restaurant Operations Assistant to support daily restaurant activities and help maintain smooth, efficient operations. The ideal candidate will assist management and restaurant staff with service coordination, guest support, supplies, cleanliness, and routine operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily restaurant operations and service activities.
• Support front-of-house and kitchen teams with routine operational needs.
• Help coordinate communication between service staff, kitchen personnel, and management.
• Assist with monitoring guest service and overall restaurant workflow.
• Support dining room preparation, seating organization, and service station readiness.
• Assist with customer questions, requests, and routine service concerns.
• Help ensure food and beverage orders are accurate and delivered promptly.
• Monitor supplies and assist with restocking food, beverages, utensils, and service materials.
• Assist with inventory counts, receiving, organization, and proper storage of supplies.
• Support POS transactions and routine administrative tasks as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and presentable dining and service areas.
• Assist with opening, closing, and shift transition procedures.
• Report equipment issues, supply shortages, and operational concerns to management.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and company procedures.
• Work cooperatively with team members to maintain efficient service during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, food-service, or operations experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and service quality.
• Familiarity with basic POS systems and restaurant procedures preferred.
• Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.

• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
