Restaurant Operations Manager — KP’s Kitchen

KP’s Kitchen is an independent neighborhood restaurant in Houston’s Memorial and Spring Valley area. We’re hiring a hands-on manager to lead service, support expo and kitchen coordination, and help execute catered events.

Schedule and pay

• Full-time, in person
• Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; weekend availability is required
• $22–$24 per hour, based on experience

What you’ll do

• Lead floor service, direct the team during shifts, and handle guest concerns with care and sound judgment.
• Work expo during busy service, communicate clearly with the kitchen, and provide practical kitchen support when needed.
• Coach staff on service standards and help build a dependable team.
• Complete weekly kitchen and beer/wine inventory counts for the owner to enter and review.
• Order coffee and nonalcoholic beverages within an agreed budget.
• Help plan, staff, set up, and lead execution of large catering events.

What we’re looking for

• Management experience in a busy, full-service restaurant.
• Hands-on expo experience and the ability to stay organized under pressure.
• Experience executing catered events with multiple staff members.
• Strong guest recovery, coaching, and communication skills.
• Availability to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
