Restaurant Operations Manager

Black Bear Diner Puyallup is seeking a motivated and experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to oversee daily restaurant activities, support team performance, and ensure excellent food quality and customer service. The successful candidate will coordinate front-of-house and kitchen operations, manage staffing and inventory, monitor financial performance, and maintain an efficient, welcoming dining environment. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and a commitment to delivering a consistent guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth service and efficient workflow.
• Supervise, train, and motivate front-of-house and kitchen employees.
• Coordinate staff schedules, shift assignments, and daily operational priorities.
• Maintain food quality, presentation, portion consistency, and service standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, respond to feedback, and resolve customer concerns professionally.
• Manage inventory, coordinate supply orders, and reduce food waste.
• Monitor labor costs, sales performance, operating expenses, and productivity.
• Review daily reports and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and company policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout dining, kitchen, and service areas.
• Coordinate communication between kitchen staff, servers, and management.
• Support employee development, team collaboration, and consistent service practices.
• Assist with operational planning and initiatives to improve the overall dining experience.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in restaurant operations, hospitality management, or a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of restaurant procedures, food safety, inventory control, and cost management.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Familiarity with POS systems, staff scheduling, and sales reporting.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to operational detail.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour
