Job Summary

Waterman Grille is hiring a Restaurant Reception Member to welcome guests and support front-of-house restaurant operations. This role assists with guest arrivals, seating coordination, reservations, customer inquiries, dining area organization, and general hospitality activities to help provide a smooth and welcoming dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service
• Greet guests upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
• Coordinate reservations, waitlists, and table assignments
• Answer guest questions about menus, services, and restaurant procedures
• Communicate guest requests and seating information with servers and management
• Maintain an organized and welcoming reception and waiting area
• Monitor dining room flow and assist with efficient table turnover
• Answer telephone calls and respond to routine guest inquiries
• Assist with takeout orders, guest pickups, and other front-of-house requests as needed
• Restock menus, guest supplies, and reception materials
• Assist with opening, closing, and general restaurant duties
• Follow customer service, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Perform additional hospitality duties assigned by management

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent customer service and organizational abilities
• Ability to remain professional in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Ability to stand for extended periods and multitask

Preferred Skills

• Experience as a restaurant host, hostess, or guest services associate
• Familiarity with reservation and restaurant POS systems
• Strong guest relationship and communication skills
• Good time management and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to coordinate multiple guest requests efficiently
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
