What they need
Bring Your Skills. Keep Our Restaurants Running.
At SBH Foods, great restaurant operations depend on more than what happens behind the counter. Our Repair Technicians play an important role in keeping our Popeyes restaurants, equipment, and facilities operating safely and efficiently. We're looking for a hands-on, dependable Repair Technician to support our restaurants throughout the Greater Orlando area. If you enjoy troubleshooting, working independently, and figuring out how to fix a problem the right way, this could be a great fit. From diagnosing equipment issues and completing preventive maintenance to responding when a restaurant needs help, you'll be a key partner to our restaurant teams.
What We Offer
- Competitive pay
- Vehicle and gas allowance for travel within your assigned market
- Mileage reimbursement for extended travel or when supporting another market
- Health, dental, and vision insurance options for eligible employees
- Paid time off
- Company-provided tools and equipment as applicable
- Opportunities to grow with an expanding restaurant organization
- A hands-on role where your work directly impacts our restaurants and teams
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair restaurant equipment and facility-related issues across assigned Popeyes locations.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance to help reduce equipment downtime and emergency repairs.
- Respond to service requests and prioritize repairs based on urgency and impact to restaurant operations.
- Diagnose issues involving kitchen equipment, plumbing, electrical components, HVAC/refrigeration, lighting, fixtures, and general building maintenance within your level of training and certification.
- Complete repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, hardware, tile, drywall, and other general facility needs.
- Identify when specialized or licensed vendor support is required and help coordinate service when appropriate.
- Communicate clearly with restaurant leaders regarding repair status, timelines, and next steps.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work, parts used, and outstanding repair needs.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, parts, and vehicle in a safe and organized manner.
- Partner with restaurant and operations leadership to identify recurring equipment or facility issues and recommend solutions.
- Travel between restaurants throughout the Greater Orlando market and occasionally assist restaurants in other SBH Foods markets.
- Follow company safety procedures and applicable codes and regulations.
Schedule & Availability
Restaurant maintenance doesn't always happen on a perfect schedule. This position typically works 40–50 hours per week, with seasonal needs impacting the schedule. Summer months may require additional hours, particularly when HVAC and air-conditioning needs increase.
We're looking for someone who can be flexible when our restaurants need support. This includes:
- Availability to assist with repair needs after 5:00 p.m. when necessary.
- Willingness to finish jobs already in progress when additional time is needed.
- Ability to respond to urgent restaurant maintenance needs and emergencies.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and determine whether immediate attention is required or if the repair can safely be completed the following day.
- Occasional extended or out-of-market travel to support other SBH Foods restaurants.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance, equipment repair, HVAC/R, electrical, plumbing, restaurant maintenance, or a related skilled trade.
- Restaurant or commercial kitchen equipment repair experience strongly preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to diagnose problems, determine appropriate solutions, and work independently.
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC/refrigeration, and general building systems preferred.
- Ability to read equipment manuals, diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Comfortable using mobile technology to receive work orders, document repairs, and communicate with the team.
- Strong organization and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple service requests.
- Professional and service-oriented when working with restaurant teams and outside vendors.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel regularly between restaurant locations throughout the Greater Orlando area.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work in tight spaces as needed.
- Ability to safely use ladders, hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors, around restaurant equipment, and in varying temperatures.
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods while completing repairs.

Founded in 1972, Popeyes® has more than 40 years of history and culinary tradition. Popeyes® owes its beginnings to entrepreneur and culinary innovator, Al Copeland. With one small restaurant and a big idea, Copeland introduced the New Orleans–style fried chicken that has now made the brand famous throughout the world. Popeyes® culinary heritage is built upon the rich Cajun and creole flavor profiles that are unmistakably Louisiana. We continuously draw upon and celebrate this heritage to inspire new, authentic menu creations the world craves. Popeyes distinguishes itself with a unique New Orleans style menu featuring spicy chicken, chicken tenders, fried shrimp and other regional items. This unique and flavorful food has allowed Popeyes to become one of the world’s largest chicken quick-service restaurants, with over 2,700 restaurants in the U.S. and around the world.
SBH Foods PLK LLC locally owns and operates 14 locations in Augusta, GA and Charleston, SC.
