Duties

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, providing a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages, demonstrating cocktail experience and beverage service expertise
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximize sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately while handling cash handling responsibilities with integrity
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting food handling and food preparation standards
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions about menu items, wine knowledge, or dietary restrictions with professionalism
• Assist with opening or closing duties such as setting up stations or cleaning work areas to ensure smooth restaurant operations
• Support host/hostess duties when needed by managing reservations via OpenTable or similar systems

Experience

• Prior food service experience in a restaurant environment is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS and TOAST for processing sales transactions efficiently
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques to enhance guest experiences
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Experience in food handling, sanitation practices, and adhering to food safety standards
• Previous roles involving bussing tables or serving in a high-volume restaurant will be advantageous
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions
