Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive, polished, and genuine hospitality from the moment guests are seated through the completion of their experience.
• Build strong knowledge of the food, beverage, cocktail, and promotional offerings to confidently guide guests and make thoughtful recommendations.
• Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders while communicating modifications, allergies, and special requests to the appropriate team members.
• Anticipate guest needs by maintaining beverages, clearing and resetting tables, providing appropriate utensils and condiments, and remaining attentive without being intrusive.
• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, ensuring quick and precise processing of sales transactions
• Recommend menu items, wine pairings, and specialty cocktails to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales through upselling techniques like OpenTable reservations or spirits experience
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
• Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, bar areas, and service stations; assist with bussing and resetting tables promptly
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns proactively

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
• Strong knowledge of POS systems, platforms for sales transaction processing
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service standards in fine dining settings
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
• Familiarity with food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
