Restaurant Server

**Job Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team at Common Ground. As a key member of our service staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Your responsibilities will include serving food and drinks in a prompt and courteous manner, maintaining a clean and organized dining environment, and providing exceptional customer service. **Duties:** - Greet guests and ensure a welcoming atmosphere - Take food and drink orders, answer questions, and make recommendations - Serve food and drinks in a timely and efficient manner - Manage tables, bussing dishes, and clearing the dining area - Maintain a thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods - Ensure compliance with food safety and handling procedures - Assist with catering events and special occasions - Provide help to other team members as needed - Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to restaurant standards - Develop a thorough understanding of the restaurant's policies, procedures, and standards **Qualifications:** - Prior experience in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant setting - Knowledge of food safety and handling practices - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations - Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor - Ability to lift and carry trays and equipment - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Familiarity with coffee preparation and serving - Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends - Willingness to learn and grow with the restaurant - Passion for the culinary industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional service **Skills:** - Food handling - Food safety - Coffee - Restaurant experience - Customer service - Bussing - Catering - Help - Food industry - Culinary experience
