Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements using reservation systems such as OpenTable.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled.
• Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, demonstrating knowledge of drink service standards.
• Upsell menu items and beverage options to enhance guest experience and increase sales revenue.
• Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales transaction processing.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
• Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction throughout their visit.

Experience

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly preferred. Experience with Thai cuisine is preferred, but not a requirement.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS or similar platforms.
• Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is advantageous.
• Knowledge of wine pairing, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service enhances guest interactions.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
• Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities.
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.

Please note that $16 is the guaranteed minimum hourly rate. The hourly rate will be $12 and tips will combine to guarantee $16. If no tips then the server will be paid the full $16 directly from the employer. We are a fast growing restaurant in an affluent area. There is great opportunity to be had for a friendly, attentive server.
