Restaurant server

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide them with menus, taking time to explain daily specials and answer any questions about the menu items.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system, specifically Micros POS, ensuring all requests are noted.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while adhering to food safety standards and sanitation practices.
• Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
• Manage multiple tables efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in service.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and floors, in accordance with sanitation guidelines.
• Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food service industry or restaurant environment is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest satisfaction.
• Excellent time management skills to handle busy shifts effectively.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to work independently when necessary.
