Position Title: Server / Waitress

Reports To: Front of House Manager / Floor Supervisor Location: Pecos, TX

Job Summary

We are looking for a professional and friendly Waitress to join our team and provide our guests with an exceptional dining experience. You will be the face of our restaurant, responsible for guiding guests through our menu, taking accurate orders, and ensuring every meal is delivered with a high standard of hospitality. The ideal candidate is a multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a "guest-first" mentality.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Service: Greet guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and provide menus.
• Menu Expertise: Maintain a deep knowledge of the menu, including daily specials, ingredients, and potential allergens to answer guest questions accurately.
• Order Management: Take food and beverage orders using the POS (Point of Sale) system and ensure special requests are communicated clearly to the kitchen.
• Table Maintenance: Deliver food and drinks promptly, perform "table checks" to ensure satisfaction, and refill beverages without being prompted.
• Financial Handling: Prepare final bills, process cash and credit card payments accurately, and manage tip reporting.
• Sidework: Assist with opening and closing duties, including rolling silverware, cleaning service stations, and ensuring the dining area is tidy.
• Compliance: Adhere to all local food safety and alcoholic beverage laws (e.g., checking IDs for age-restricted drinks).

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience as a server or in a customer-facing role is preferred but not always required.
• Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to remain on your feet for long shifts, carry heavy trays (up to 30 lbs), and move quickly through a crowded dining room.
• Availability: Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
• Skills: * Basic math skills for handling payments.
• Familiarity with POS systems (e.g., Toast, Clover, or Square).
• Excellent conflict-resolution skills for handling guest complaints gracefully.
