Restaurant Server

Job Summary

Cafe Americano is seeking a friendly, dependable, and energetic Restaurant Server to join the hospitality team. The ideal candidate will provide attentive service, take food and beverage orders accurately, deliver orders promptly, answer menu questions, process payments, and help create a welcoming dining experience for every guest.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hospitality, works well in a fast-paced restaurant environment, and takes pride in providing professional and attentive service.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive service
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
• Explain menu items, ingredients, and available options when requested
• Enter orders accurately into the POS system
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately
• Check on guests throughout the dining experience and respond to requests
• Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and other team members to ensure accurate service
• Process cash, card, and other payment transactions accurately
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly set tables
• Clear and reset tables promptly between guests
• Restock service stations, condiments, utensils, napkins, and other supplies
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Handle guest concerns and requests in a polite and professional manner
• Assist teammates during busy service periods
• Support opening, closing, and assigned side-work duties
• Perform other responsibilities assigned by restaurant management

Requirements

• Previous server, restaurant, hospitality, or food-service experience preferred but not required
• Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy
• Basic POS and payment-handling experience is a plus
• Ability to multitask while maintaining professional service
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible work ethic
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
