Restaurant Server

Job Summary

The Lazy Monkey Bar & Kitchen is looking for a friendly and attentive Restaurant Server to join the front-of-house team. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, take and serve orders accurately, and help create a welcoming dining experience while supporting smooth restaurant operations.

Job Description

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service throughout their visit.
• Take food and drink orders accurately and enter them into the ordering system.
• Answer customer questions about menu items and provide helpful recommendations when required.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high service standards.
• Check that orders are accurate and meet customer expectations.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen, bar, and front-of-house team members.
• Clear and reset tables efficiently between customers.
• Maintain clean, tidy, and well-organised dining and service areas.
• Replenish cutlery, napkins, condiments, and other service supplies.
• Handle customer requests, feedback, and concerns professionally.
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety, and restaurant service procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing, and general front-of-house duties as required.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, bar, café, hospitality, or customer service experience is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Friendly, approachable, and professional manner.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy restaurant environment.
• Good attention to detail when taking and serving orders.
• Reliable, punctual, and well organised.
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support the wider restaurant team.

Pay: £16.00-£22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 per week
