Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, providing a hospitable first impression.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and accommodated.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently while handling cash with accuracy and maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, wine pairings, and beverage options like spirits and cocktails.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld during service, including proper food handling and cleanliness practices.
• Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Foster guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming environment for all guests.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub experience.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse needs effectively.
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining genuine guest interactions.
• Solid understanding of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques.
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.
• Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques.
• Experience with serving in a fast-paced environment such as nightlife venues or high-volume restaurants is highly desirable.

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
