Restaurant Server

Bradford Tavern is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Restaurant Server to provide attentive service and create a welcoming dining experience for guests. This role involves greeting customers, explaining menu items, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and coordinating with kitchen and front-of-house team members. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and comfortable working in a busy restaurant and tavern environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive, and professional service.
• Explain menu items, ingredients, and available options to customers.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately.
• Enter orders into the POS system and communicate special requests clearly.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
• Check on guests during their meals and respond to routine requests.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to help ensure order accuracy and timely service.
• Address guest concerns courteously and notify a supervisor when needed.
• Process guest bills and payments according to restaurant procedures.
• Keep tables, dining areas, and service stations clean and organized.
• Restock utensils, napkins, condiments, and other service supplies.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and responsible beverage-service procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing, and routine side work as assigned.
• Work cooperatively with servers, hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, serving, hospitality, or customer-service experience is helpful.
• Friendly and professional approach to guest service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tables and requests during busy periods.
• Comfortable learning POS systems and restaurant procedures.
• Able to remain organized and professional under pressure.
• Willingness to work as part of a team.
• Ability to follow food-safety and workplace guidelines.
