Restaurant Server

Layla's American Tavern is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Restaurant Server to provide attentive service and support daily restaurant operations. This role involves welcoming guests, explaining menu items, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant and tavern environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive, and professional service.
• Present menus and answer questions about food, beverages, and available options.
• Take customer orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
• Communicate orders and special requests clearly to kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately.
• Check on guests during their meals and respond to service requests.
• Address routine customer concerns professionally and notify management when needed.
• Process payments and handle guest checks according to restaurant procedures.
• Keep tables, dining areas, and service stations clean and organized.
• Clear and reset tables as needed.
• Restock menus, utensils, napkins, condiments, and other service supplies.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and responsible service procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing, and other daily restaurant duties.
• Work cooperatively with servers, hosts, kitchen staff, bartenders, and management.

Qualifications

• Previous server, restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service experience is helpful.
• Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to guests.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Good attention to order accuracy and customer needs.
• Comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment.
• Able to learn menu items, POS procedures, and service standards.
• Able to manage multiple tables and tasks efficiently.
• Willingness to work as part of a team.

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
