Starting Pay: $6.00 per hour + tips
Hours: Approximately 18–36 hours per week, depending on position and business needs
Schedule: Evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays

Glacia Tavern is looking for two friendly, dependable, and motivated servers to join our front-of-house team!

We're an established, locally owned restaurant in the heart of the Keweenaw Peninsula, serving both our local community and visitors throughout the year.

We're looking for people who genuinely enjoy hospitality, take pride in providing excellent service, and understand that a great dining experience takes teamwork, organization, and attention to detail.

Whether it's a relaxed weeknight or a packed dining room, our goal is to make every guest feel welcome and well taken care of.

What You'll Be Doing

• Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit.
• Learn our food and beverage menus, daily specials, and ingredients to confidently answer questions and make recommendations.
• Take accurate orders, communicate modifications and allergies, and process payments using Square POS.
• Manage multiple tables while maintaining prompt, organized service.
• Prepare salads and maintain our salad and soup stations throughout service.
• Assist with seating, running food, bussing, resetting tables, and supporting coworkers.
• Complete opening duties, including dining room setup, stocking, silverware, coffee, and iced tea preparation.
• Maintain clean, organized dining and service areas throughout each shift.
• Complete assigned side work, restocking, cleaning, and closing checklists before leaving.

• Previous full-service restaurant experience preferred.
• A friendly, professional attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently during busy dinner service.
• Dependability, attention to detail, and a willingness to take initiative.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
• Willingness to learn, follow established procedures, and accept constructive feedback.
• Availability for evening and weekend shifts.

Hours generally range from 18–36 per week depending on the position, scheduling, and seasonal business needs. Weekly hours are not guaranteed. Starting pay is $6.00 per hour plus tips, with adjustments made as required by Michigan wage laws.

Expected hours: 18.0 – 32.0 per week
