Restaurant Server

Jackson Square Tavern is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Restaurant Server to provide attentive service and support daily restaurant operations. This role involves welcoming guests, explaining menu items, taking food and beverage orders, serving meals, and ensuring customers have a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and comfortable working in a busy restaurant and tavern environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Present menus and answer questions about food, beverages, and available options.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen.
• Serve meals and beverages promptly and courteously.
• Check on guests during their meals and respond to reasonable requests.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to help ensure order accuracy and timely service.
• Process customer bills and payments when required.
• Keep tables and dining areas clean, organized, and ready for guests.
• Reset tables with clean utensils, napkins, and other service items.
• Restock service stations, condiments, and dining supplies as needed.
• Address routine guest concerns professionally and notify a supervisor when necessary.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and restaurant service procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing, and other daily restaurant duties.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, tavern, hospitality, or customer-service experience is helpful.
• Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to guests.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Able to manage multiple tables and requests in a busy environment.
• Willingness to learn menu items and restaurant procedures.
• Comfortable working collaboratively with kitchen and service staff.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
