Restaurant Server

Back Deck is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Restaurant Server to provide attentive service and a welcoming dining experience for guests. This role involves greeting customers, explaining menu items, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and coordinating with kitchen and front-of-house team members. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive, and professional service.
• Present menus and answer questions about food, beverages, and available options.
• Take customer orders accurately and communicate special requests clearly.
• Enter orders into the POS system and verify order details.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately.
• Check on guests during their meals and respond to requests.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to help ensure order accuracy and timely service.
• Process payments and assist with checkout when required.
• Clear and reset tables to maintain an organized dining area.
• Keep service stations and guest areas clean and properly stocked.
• Communicate guest concerns or special requests to the appropriate team member.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and restaurant service procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing, and other routine duties as assigned.
• Work cooperatively with servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and management during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, server, hospitality, or customer-service experience is helpful.
• Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to guests.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Good attention to order accuracy and customer needs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
