Duties

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay them efficiently to the kitchen and bar staff
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling additional menu items like wines or cocktails
• Provide expert beverage service, including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and drink recommendations to enhance guest experience
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
• Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction, address concerns promptly, and foster positive guest relations throughout their visit

Skills

• Extensive experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
• Strong food service background with knowledge of fine dining etiquette and food handling procedures
• Proven ability in upselling beverages and menu items to increase sales while providing excellent customer service
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Deep understanding of wine knowledge, spirits experience, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
• Prior restaurant experience in a fast-paced environment such as fine dining or nightclub settings is highly desirable
• Exceptional guest relations skills with a focus on hospitality, patience, and attentiveness to customer needs
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions seamlessly
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and food industry regulations to ensure a safe dining environment
