Restaurant Service Associate

Job Summary

House of Pies is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Restaurant Service Associate to support daily restaurant operations and provide guests with a welcoming dining experience. This role involves assisting customers, handling orders, supporting food and beverage service, maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, and working collaboratively with kitchen and service team members.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, courteous, and professional service.
• Assist guests with seating, menus, and general dining questions.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate special requests.
• Assist with preparing, assembling, packaging, and serving menu items as needed.
• Serve pies, desserts, meals, beverages, and other menu items promptly.
• Check orders for accuracy, completeness, and proper presentation.
• Answer basic questions about menu items and assist guests with selections.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and process customer payments as assigned.
• Clear and reset tables to maintain a clean and organized dining area.
• Maintain clean and well-stocked counters, service stations, and workspaces.
• Restock utensils, napkins, condiments, beverages, packaging, and other supplies.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to support timely and accurate order preparation.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
• Handle food, equipment, and restaurant supplies carefully and responsibly.
• Communicate guest concerns, supply shortages, and service issues to supervisors.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties.
• Support coworkers during busy service periods.
• Help maintain consistent service standards and a positive guest experience.
• Perform other restaurant service and support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
