Restaurant Service Worker

Job Summary

Coastal Kitchen & Bar is hiring a Restaurant Service Worker to support daily restaurant operations and provide friendly, professional service to guests. This role supports customer orders, food and beverage service, dining area upkeep, restocking, and other front-of-house activities to maintain an efficient, welcoming restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional customer service
• Assist with taking and communicating food and beverage orders accurately
• Serve food and beverages according to restaurant service standards
• Assist guests with menu questions, requests, and general information
• Prepare and maintain dining, service, and front-of-house areas
• Clear, clean, and reset tables as needed
• Restock beverages, utensils, condiments, supplies, and service items
• Package takeout and delivery orders accurately when required
• Coordinate with kitchen and service team members during busy periods
• Process customer payments and transactions according to company procedures
• Address routine guest concerns and communicate complex issues to management
• Follow food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures
• Assist with opening, closing, and general restaurant duties

Requirements

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, food service, retail, or customer service experience is an asset but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent customer service and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Reliable, punctual, professional, and willing to learn
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine physical duties

Preferred Skills

• Experience in restaurant or hospitality operations
• Familiarity with POS and restaurant ordering systems
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Ability to handle guest concerns professionally
• Good multitasking and problem-solving abilities
• Positive attitude and commitment to guest satisfaction

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
