Restaurant Service Worker

Job Summary

The Nash is seeking a dependable, friendly, and customer-focused Restaurant Service Worker to support daily restaurant operations and help create a welcoming dining experience for guests. This role involves assisting with food and beverage service, handling orders, maintaining clean and organized work areas, restocking supplies, and cooperating with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure efficient service.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide courteous, professional customer service.
• Assist with taking food and beverage orders accurately.
• Communicate guest requests, special instructions, and dietary concerns to the appropriate team members.
• Support food preparation, plating, packaging, and order assembly as assigned.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and courteously.
• Check orders for accuracy and completeness before serving when appropriate.
• Answer general questions about menu items and direct detailed inquiries to knowledgeable staff.
• Clear and reset tables to maintain a clean and welcoming dining area.
• Maintain clean and organized dining spaces, counters, service stations, and work areas.
• Restock utensils, napkins, glassware, beverages, and other restaurant supplies.
• Assist with point-of-sale transactions and payment processing when assigned.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and equipment as needed.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
• Handle food, beverages, equipment, and restaurant supplies carefully.
• Communicate guest concerns, supply shortages, and service issues to supervisors.
• Support kitchen and front-of-house coworkers during busy service periods.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties.
• Help maintain consistent service quality, order accuracy, and a positive guest experience.
• Perform other restaurant service and support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
