About BIRDCODE

BIRDCODE is a fast-casual chicken restaurant serving hand-breaded, made-to-order chicken, house made sauces, and desserts. Our Hanover location is a fast-paced, high-volume QSR with high standards for speed, quality, and customer service.

We're hiring an experienced Shift Leader to run shifts, lead our team, and take real ownership of daily operations. This is a management position for someone who has done this before and done it well.

Responsibilities

Running the Shift

• Open and close the restaurant and run shifts from start to finish
• Assign stations, manage breaks, and keep the team moving during peak volume
• Make real-time decisions to keep service fast, accurate, and on standard

Leading the Team

• Coach, train, and hold team members accountable to BIRDCODE standards
• Assist with building and managing the weekly schedule
• Set the example for work ethic, attitude, and guest service

Operations and Controls

• Count drawers in and out, manage the change fund, and complete all opening, closing, and shift checklists
• Receive and check in truck deliveries
• Assist with inventory counts, ordering, and stock rotation
• Enforce food safety, sanitation, and proper equipment handling
• Keep the restaurant clean, organized, and fully stocked

On the Floor

• Work every position as needed: register, assembly, breading, frying, prep, drinks, sides, and cleaning
• Resolve guest issues quickly and professionally

What Success Looks Like

• Shifts start on time, run smoothly, and close out accurately
• Food goes out fast, hot, and right, every time
• Drawers, counts, and checklists are clean and complete
• The team knows what's expected and is held to it
• The restaurant is clean, stocked, and ready for the next shift

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of shift lead, supervisor, or management experience in a high-volume quick service, fast-casual, or other restaurant
• Proven ability to run a busy shift with speed, accuracy, and composure
• Hands-on leader with strong communication and coaching skills
• Experience with cash handling, opening and closing procedures, and inventory
• Reliable, organized, and accountable
• ServSafe Manager certification, or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire

Schedule

• Full-time, availability to cover both opening and closing shifts
• Opening shifts start as early as 8:00 AM on truck delivery days
• Closing shifts run until midnight
• Weekends required
