Restaurant Shift Leader

Overview

As a Restaurant Shift Leader, you’ll keep service moving by guiding the team and delivering attentive customer service. You’ll coordinate front- and back-of-house work, uphold food safety, and help create a welcoming hospitality experience.

Duties

• Lead shift operations, assign tasks, and support team leadership across service activities.
• Oversee POS (point-of-sale) systems, cash handling, basic math, and inventory control.
• Coach and train staff; support interviewing, team development, and clear managerial communication.
• Your impact: By coordinating service and food safety, you help guests enjoy a smooth dining experience and help teammates work confidently.

Experience

• Required: Restaurant or food service experience, supervising experience, and demonstrated leadership or shift management skills.
• Preferred: Management experience in restaurant, food service, food, kitchen, or hospitality operations; assistant manager experience; team management; or managing hospitality teams.
• Relevant experience may include quick service and fast food, casual dining, fine dining, banquet, catering, bar, serving, kitchen, culinary, or food production work.
• Familiarity with POS systems, including Square POS.
• Knowledge of profit and loss analysis and budgeting is also preferred.
• Bring customer service skills and a commitment to food safety. Experience in staff training, training and development, team training, or food safety management is an asset.

Pay: $9/ hour + Tips

Pay: From $9.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 35.0 per week
