Restaurant Sous Chef

Family Owned and Operated Resort, looking for an adaptable, hardworking and talented assistant chef to assist with a new restaurant and bar.

Requirements:

-Culinary degree, certificate, or reputable experience as a chef required

-Kitchen experience as a sous chef preferred,

-Strong leadership and team management skills are required

• Food handlers card / Servsafe required

• Ability to successfully help manage a busy kitchen and staff of up to 15 people

-Must be able to stand on your feet for an extended period of time

-Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment

Your role with our company:

We are looking to hire a talented and passionate sous chef to assist Our Head Chefs develop seasonal menus and new recipes. You will assist in building the foundation of the new concept restaurant and bar. Train and supervise staff as well as help manage inventory, orders, and food cost. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.

A personal introduction included in a cover letter is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
