Job Summary

Terrace 54 Bar + Table is seeking a friendly, dependable, and team-oriented New American Restaurant Crew Member to support daily restaurant operations and help provide a positive dining experience. This role involves assisting guests, supporting food and beverage service, handling orders, maintaining clean work areas, restocking supplies, and collaborating with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service.
• Assist guests with seating, menu questions, and general dining requests.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate special requests.
• Support food preparation, portioning, plating, packaging, and order assembly as assigned.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to help ensure orders are prepared correctly and served on time.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and courteously.
• Check orders for accuracy and completeness before serving when appropriate.
• Communicate dietary preferences and allergy concerns to the appropriate team members.
• Clear and reset tables to maintain a clean and organized dining area.
• Maintain clean and well-stocked service stations, counters, kitchen workspaces, and guest areas.
• Restock ingredients, utensils, napkins, glassware, containers, and other restaurant supplies.
• Assist with point-of-sale transactions and payment processing when assigned.
• Support kitchen and front-of-house coworkers during busy service periods.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
• Handle food, beverages, equipment, and restaurant supplies carefully.
• Respond to guest requests professionally and refer complex concerns to supervisors.
• Communicate supply shortages, equipment concerns, and service issues to management.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties.
• Help maintain consistent food quality, order accuracy, and service standards.
• Perform other restaurant crew and support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, food service, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, dependable, and customer-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and established restaurant procedures.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Willingness to learn menu items, food preparation methods, and service standards.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety guidelines.
