Job Summary

State of Grace is seeking a dependable, organized, and service-oriented New American Restaurant Support Worker to assist with daily restaurant operations and help provide a welcoming dining experience. This role supports food and beverage service, guest assistance, work area cleanliness, supply restocking, and coordination between kitchen and front-of-house team members to help maintain smooth restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide courteous, professional assistance.
• Help maintain clean, organized, and welcoming dining areas.
• Assist with preparing dining spaces, service stations, and work areas before service.
• Support food and beverage service by delivering orders and assisting team members as needed.
• Help clear and reset tables promptly.
• Restock utensils, napkins, glassware, beverages, and other restaurant supplies.
• Assist with basic food preparation, plating, packaging, and order assembly when assigned.
• Communicate guest requests and special instructions to the appropriate team members.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to support timely and accurate order service.
• Assist with point-of-sale transactions and payment processing when assigned.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
• Handle food, beverages, equipment, and restaurant supplies carefully.
• Monitor service areas and report supply shortages or equipment concerns to supervisors.
• Respond to guest questions politely and refer complex concerns to management.
• Support coworkers during busy service periods to maintain efficient operations.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties.
• Help maintain consistent service standards and a positive guest experience.
• Organize supplies and return equipment to designated storage areas.
• Perform other restaurant support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, food service, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Dependable, friendly, and customer-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and established restaurant procedures.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced dining environment.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn food service procedures and restaurant standards.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
