Job Summary

Daily Gather is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and customer-focused New American Restaurant Worker to support daily restaurant operations and help provide guests with a welcoming dining experience. This role involves assisting with food preparation, food and beverage service, order handling, maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, and collaborating with kitchen and front-of-house team members.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional assistance.
• Assist guests with menu questions and general dining requests.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate special requests.
• Assist with preparing and assembling New American menu items according to established procedures.
• Support food preparation, portioning, plating, packaging, and order assembly as needed.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously.
• Check orders for accuracy, completeness, and proper presentation.
• Communicate dietary requests and allergy concerns to the appropriate team members.
• Clear and reset tables to maintain clean and organized dining areas.
• Maintain clean and well-stocked counters, service stations, and workspaces.
• Restock utensils, napkins, condiments, beverages, and other restaurant supplies.
• Assist with point-of-sale transactions and payment processing when assigned.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to support timely order preparation.
• Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces, equipment, and service areas.
• Follow food handling, storage, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
• Handle food, equipment, and restaurant supplies carefully and responsibly.
• Communicate supply shortages, equipment concerns, and service issues to supervisors.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties.
• Support coworkers during busy service periods.
• Perform other restaurant service and support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Dependable, friendly, and customer-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Willingness to learn menu items, food preparation methods, and restaurant procedures.
