Job Summary

Lúa Viet Kitchen is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Vietnamese Restaurant Service Associate to support daily restaurant operations and provide guests with an enjoyable dining experience. This role involves assisting with guest service, food and beverage orders, Vietnamese cuisine service, dining area maintenance, and supply restocking. The ideal candidate is organized, works well with others, and helps ensure timely, professional service.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, courteous, and professional assistance.
• Help guests with seating, menu questions, and general dining requests.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate special instructions.
• Assist with preparing, assembling, packaging, and serving Vietnamese menu items as needed.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly while maintaining proper presentation.
• Check orders for accuracy and completeness before serving.
• Answer basic questions about menu items and direct detailed inquiries to the appropriate team member.
• Assist with point-of-sale transactions and customer payments when assigned.
• Clear and reset tables to maintain clean and organized dining areas.
• Maintain clean counters, dining spaces, service stations, and work areas.
• Restock utensils, plates, napkins, condiments, beverages, containers, and other supplies.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to support accurate and timely order preparation.
• Follow food handling, storage, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
• Handle food, equipment, and restaurant supplies carefully and responsibly.
• Communicate guest requests, service concerns, supply shortages, and operational issues to supervisors.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties.
• Support coworkers during busy service periods and help maintain smooth operations.
• Help maintain consistent service quality and a welcoming atmosphere.
• Follow restaurant policies and established customer service standards.
• Perform other restaurant service and support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, Vietnamese food service, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Willingness to learn menu items and restaurant service procedures.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety guidelines.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and responsible work habits.
