Job Summary

Mai's Restaurant is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Vietnamese Restaurant Support Worker to assist with daily restaurant operations and help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment. This role supports food preparation, order assembly, food and beverage service, supply restocking, and general kitchen and dining area duties. The ideal candidate follows established procedures, pays attention to detail, and works cooperatively with restaurant staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist kitchen staff with preparing ingredients and organizing food items for daily service.
• Support the preparation, assembly, portioning, and packaging of Vietnamese menu items.
• Help prepare and serve noodle dishes, rice meals, appetizers, and other menu items as assigned.
• Assist with organizing takeout and pickup orders and checking order accuracy.
• Help deliver food and beverages to the appropriate service areas.
• Support front-of-house staff with routine guest requests and menu inquiries.
• Clear and reset tables to maintain clean and organized dining areas.
• Maintain clean counters, kitchen workspaces, dining areas, and service stations.
• Restock ingredients, utensils, plates, containers, napkins, condiments, and other supplies.
• Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces, utensils, and equipment according to established procedures.
• Follow food handling, storage, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety guidelines.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing food and supply deliveries as assigned.
• Monitor supply levels and notify supervisors when replenishment is needed.
• Handle food, equipment, and restaurant supplies carefully and responsibly.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service team members to support timely and accurate orders.
• Communicate supply shortages, equipment concerns, and operational issues to supervisors.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties.
• Support coworkers during busy service periods and help maintain efficient operations.
• Follow restaurant policies and established service procedures.
• Perform other restaurant support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, Vietnamese food service, kitchen, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Willingness to learn food preparation techniques and restaurant procedures.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety guidelines.
