Restaurant Supervisor

We’re looking for a casual Supervisor / Waiter to join the team at Arthur.

Arthur is a small restaurant, so the role is quite hands-on and you’ll be involved in more than just service. You’ll be helping to run the venue day to day, working closely with the management team and getting a good understanding of how the restaurant operates.

The role

The role will involve:

• Opening and closing the venue
• Leading services and supporting the team through busy periods
• Looking after guests and managing guest communications
• Helping with day-to-day running of the restaurant
• Assisting with rostering and managing the team’s availability
• Working across both the floor and bar

Because we’re a small venue, there’s a good amount of variety in the role. We’re open to people coming from different hospitality backgrounds — if you’ve mainly worked on the floor, there’s an opportunity to build your bar skills, and if you’ve mainly worked behind the bar, it’s a chance to develop your floor service and guest-facing experience.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable taking responsibility, enjoys working with people and wants to keep developing their hospitality skills. You don’t need to know everything from day one — we’re more interested in someone who is capable, reliable and keen to learn.

There are also opportunities to pick up shifts across our other venues as you become familiar with the group.
