Valstar Hotel is seeking an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our hospitality team in Badung, Bali. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests. As Restaurant Supervisor, you will oversee daily restaurant operations, manage staff, and maintain the highest standards of service quality. This position is essential to our commitment to delivering outstanding hospitality and maintaining Valstar Hotel's reputation for excellence.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising and coordinating restaurant staff during service periods to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Managing table allocations, seating arrangements, and guest flow throughout the dining area
• Ensuring all staff adhere to health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times
• Training, mentoring, and supporting restaurant team members to maintain service excellence
• Addressing guest concerns and complaints professionally and promptly to ensure satisfaction
• Monitoring food and beverage service quality, presentation, and accuracy of orders
• Maintaining inventory records and assisting with stock control and ordering
• Coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate meal preparation and service
• Scheduling shifts and managing staff attendance and performance
• Upholding company policies and maintaining a positive, professional work environment

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Restaurant Supervisor or similar supervisory role in a hospitality setting
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
• Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to guest satisfaction
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and best practices
• Proficiency in restaurant management systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology
• Fluency in English; additional languages such as Indonesian or Mandarin are advantageous
• Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure, particularly during busy service periods
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
• Food hygiene and safety certification or willingness to obtain certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
