Restaurant Supervisor

About the role

Nonda is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Restaurant Supervisor to join our team in Newstead, QLD. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage our front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery and an outstanding guest experience. As Restaurant Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of hospitality, overseeing team performance, and contributing to the success and profitability of our establishment. This role is based on-site at our Newstead location.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and lead front-of-house staff, providing direction, training and support to ensure consistent service excellence
• Monitor table management, seating arrangements and guest flow to optimise the dining experience
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints and concerns professionally and promptly, implementing solutions to maintain guest satisfaction
• Manage reservations, walk-in guests and special requests with efficiency and courtesy
• Oversee stock management, ordering and inventory control for front-of-house supplies
• Maintain accurate records, including incident reports, staff rosters and service logs
• Collaborate with kitchen and management teams to ensure seamless operations and timely service
• Uphold brand standards and contribute to a positive, professional work environment

What we're looking for

• Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a restaurant or hospitality supervisory role, or equivalent experience demonstrating leadership capabilities
• Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, service standards and hospitality best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and staff at all levels
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop team members in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in restaurant management systems and point-of-sale (POS) software
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure whilst maintaining service standards
• Problem-solving mindset with a customer-focused approach
