About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Tenhills Sdn bhd. This is a full-time position based in Kuala Lumpur City Centre. As Restaurant Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional service delivery, maintaining operational excellence, and creating a welcoming dining environment for all our guests. This position is integral to our restaurant's success and directly impacts the quality of experience we provide to our valued customers.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising and managing waiting staff to ensure smooth, efficient service throughout all shifts
• Greeting guests warmly and attending to their needs with professionalism and courtesy
• Training and developing team members on service standards, menu knowledge, and customer service excellence
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene across the dining area and service stations
• Coordinating with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage delivery
• Managing reservations and guest seating arrangements to optimise table management and flow
• Handling guest inquiries, complaints, and concerns with professionalism and empathy, resolving issues promptly
• Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food service regulations
• Conducting shift briefings and debriefings to communicate expectations and address operational matters
• Reporting to management on service quality, guest feedback, and team performance

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team leadership role
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests and motivate staff
• Proven ability to lead, train, and mentor team members effectively
• Outstanding organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Problem-solving capability and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness
• Knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software
• Professional appearance and demeanour befitting a customer-facing role
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Relevant hospitality certifications or qualifications are preferred
