Restaurant Support Associate

Job Summary

Mary Mac's Tea Room is seeking a friendly, dependable, and team-oriented Restaurant Support Associate to assist with daily restaurant operations. This role supports guests, food and beverage service, dining area organization, restocking, cleanliness, and other essential tasks that help the restaurant operate smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional assistance.
• Assist servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and other team members during service.
• Support food and beverage service by delivering items accurately and promptly.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized dining areas, service stations, counters, and workspaces.
• Restock dining, food, beverage, and service supplies throughout each shift.
• Assist with basic food preparation and service tasks as assigned.
• Help prepare dining and service areas before and during each shift.
• Assist guests with general requests and direct questions to appropriate team members.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Support efficient communication between front-of-house and kitchen teams.
• Assist with point-of-sale or payment procedures when assigned.
• Monitor service areas and communicate supply needs to supervisors.
• Support opening, closing, and general restaurant maintenance duties.
• Help maintain a welcoming and organized environment for guests.
• Perform other restaurant support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, food service, retail, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good attention to detail and organization.
• Willingness to learn restaurant procedures and service standards.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety practices.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
