Restaurant Support Worker

Job Summary

Coastal Kitchen & Bar is seeking a dependable, friendly, and service-oriented Restaurant Support Worker to assist with daily restaurant operations. This role supports both front-of-house and back-of-house teams by helping with food service, order preparation, cleanliness, restocking, guest assistance, and general restaurant duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist restaurant team members with daily service and operational tasks.
• Welcome guests and provide friendly assistance when needed.
• Support food and beverage order preparation and service.
• Assist with packaging, organizing, and delivering completed orders.
• Help maintain clean and organized dining areas, counters, service stations, and workspaces.
• Clear and reset tables according to restaurant procedures.
• Restock food supplies, beverages, utensils, napkins, containers, and other service items.
• Assist kitchen and front-of-house staff during busy service periods.
• Help prepare ingredients and service areas as directed.
• Support accurate and timely order fulfillment.
• Assist with moving and organizing restaurant supplies and equipment safely.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures.
• Communicate supply needs, guest concerns, and service issues to supervisors.
• Help maintain proper organization of storage and service areas.
• Assist with dishwashing, cleaning equipment, and general restaurant cleanup as needed.
• Support opening, closing, setup, and breakdown procedures.
• Handle food, equipment, and restaurant supplies carefully and responsibly.
• Maintain a professional, cooperative, and positive attitude throughout each shift.
• Work closely with coworkers to help maintain efficient restaurant operations.
• Perform other restaurant support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and established restaurant procedures.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good attention to detail and organization.
• Willingness to learn food service and restaurant operations.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety practices.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Comfortable standing, walking, lifting, and performing hands-on restaurant tasks.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
